The Skill House is a program that is part of Inclusive Communities

Consulting & Life Skills in Aylmer. The Skill House will provide

concession services at the East Elgin Community Complex, offering

delicious food for people who use the Community Complex. In

addition to serving the Community, The Skill House will also provide

hands-on, employment skills training for people who face barriers to

employment.

The Skill House will assist people who face barriers to employment

work on multiple skills that will help them prepare for competitive

employment. These skills include, food prep, customer service,

money handling, problem solving, safe food handling, proper work

attire, teamwork, arriving on time/breaks among other skills. Upon

successful completion of the program, participants will receive

support to find and secure employment. Participants will also receive

ongoing support after this process.
